Solar Shift SOP

20 min

For every Narqix VA working a US solar campaign from Bangladesh. After this page you will be able to start, run and close a solar shift the Narqix way, and plan your calling around US time zones and the clock changes.

Track: Solar · Role: All solar roles · Time to complete: 20 min

How schedules work

Your campaign sets your actual shift, your check-in method and your break times. This page gives you the standard way to run whatever shift you are given, plus the time-zone knowledge you need to plan it.

Solar homeowners are easiest to reach in the late afternoon and early evening, their local time, and on Saturdays. That is the middle of the night in Bangladesh, so most solar shifts run through the Bangladesh night.

Time zones: the basics

  • Bangladesh time is UTC+6 all year. Bangladesh does not change its clocks.
  • Most of the US changes its clocks twice a year. US daylight saving time runs from the second Sunday of March to the first Sunday of November. In 2026 the change back to standard time is on Sunday, November 1. The next change forward is Sunday, March 14, 2027.
  • When the US moves to standard time, every US hour lands one hour later in Bangladesh. Your shift usually moves one hour later too.
  • Arizona (most of it) and Hawaii do not change clocks. Your dialer handles this. Do not do it by memory.

What 9 AM and 8 PM in the US mean in Bangladesh

Narqix calls only between 9 AM and 8 PM in the homeowner's local time. Here is where that window falls in Bangladesh time.

Coach's note: Put two clocks on your screen, Bangladesh time and the US time zone of your first leads. Most time-window mistakes happen in the week the US changes its clocks. In that week, check every callback time again before you dial.

Before the shift

  • Wired internet working, backup connection ready, power backup charged for load-shedding
  • Quiet room, noise-cancelling headset tested with a short test call or recording
  • Checked in using your campaign's check-in method, on time
  • CRM, dialer, calendar, texting platform, tracker and team channel open
  • Read the team channel for updates: script changes, consultant availability, client notes
  • Reviewed today's and tomorrow's appointments and your scheduled callbacks
  • Know which time zones open first today

During the shift

Order of work

Work in this priority order, inside your campaign's schedule:

  1. Fresh inbound leads, the moment they arrive. Speed to lead beats everything. Aim for under 5 minutes.
  2. Confirmations for appointments in the next 24 to 48 hours (if your role includes confirming).
  3. Promised callbacks, at the exact time promised.
  4. Follow-up cadence touches due today.
  5. Aged and nurture lists, sorted by time zone.

Time-zone sequencing

Start with East Coast leads as their window opens. Add Central, then Mountain, then Pacific as each window opens. Near the end of each zone's window, prioritize that zone's callbacks so none miss the cutoff. Let the dialer enforce the window. If the dialer and your own check disagree, do not dial and ask the team lead.

Breaks

Take breaks as your campaign schedules them. Before a break, finish your current note. Never leave a lead half-dispositioned.

Rules that never change during a shift

Never do this:

Never dial outside 9 AM to 8 PM in the homeowner's local time, Monday to Saturday. No Sunday calls or texts. No calls on major US holidays unless the client explicitly approves.

Never exceed 3 call attempts per lead per 24 hours (or the client's lower cap).

Never call from a personal phone or an unapproved number.

Never move to the next lead before the current one has a disposition and a note.

Closing the shift

  • Every contact from your shift has a disposition and a note
  • Every callback has a date, a time and the homeowner's time zone
  • Every new set has a written confirmation sent and is visible to the confirmer
  • Every opt-out is coded DNC
  • Tracker updated
  • End-of-shift report posted in the team channel
  • Checked out using your campaign's check-out method

End-of-shift report format

Post it in the team channel, in this order:

End of shift: (YOUR NAME), (SHIFT DATE) Dials: (NUMBER) · Conversations: (NUMBER) · Sets: (NUMBER) Confirmed: (NUMBER) · Rescheduled: (NUMBER) · Cancelled: (NUMBER) Sits reported: (NUMBER) · No-shows: (NUMBER) Opt-outs coded: (NUMBER) At-risk appointments: (LIST WITH REASON) Blockers or questions: (TEXT OR NONE)

Equipment standard

ItemStandard
InternetWired, at least 25 Mbps, with a backup connection
PowerBattery backup that covers load-shedding for your full shift
HeadsetUSB, noise-cancelling microphone
RoomQuiet, no background voices or TV
ComputerAble to run CRM, dialer and calendar at the same time without freezing

If any item fails during a shift, tell the team lead in the team channel immediately and follow the campaign's backup plan.

Common mistakes

  1. Dialing by Bangladesh time and forgetting the homeowner's time.
  2. Not adjusting callbacks in the week of a US clock change.
  3. Spending the first hour on aged lists while fresh inbound leads wait.
  4. Leaving notes for "after the shift".
  5. Forgetting to post the end-of-shift report.

Check yourself

  1. It is 7:30 PM in Bangladesh during US daylight time. Which US zones can you call?
  2. What happens to your shift when the US moves to standard time in November?
  3. In what order do you work leads during a shift?
  4. What seven numbers go in the end-of-shift report?
  5. Your dialer allows a call but your own check says it is 8:10 PM for the homeowner. What do you do?
