Code of Conduct

15 min

For every Narqix team member. After reading this page you will know how Narqix people behave with clients, customers and each other, and which actions are never acceptable.

Track: All tracks · Role: Everyone · Time to complete: 15 min

Our five commitments

Every rule on this page comes from five commitments. When you face a situation that no rule covers, use these to decide.

  1. Honesty. We tell the truth to clients, customers and each other, even when it is uncomfortable.
  2. Respect. We treat every person with dignity: the client, the customer who shouts, the teammate who is new.
  3. Confidentiality. What we see in a client's business stays in that business.
  4. Ownership. We do what we say, when we say. If we cannot, we say so early.
  5. Professionalism. We represent the client's brand and Narqix's name every minute of a shift.

1. Honesty

  • Never mark work as done when it is not.
  • Never invent, round up or "estimate" a number in a report. If you do not know, write "not available" and say why.
  • Never edit your tracker time without your Campaign Lead's approval and a written reason.
  • Never tell a customer something you know or suspect is false: about price, timing, the company, yourself or the law.
  • A miss reported early is a coaching conversation. A miss hidden and found later is a disciplinary one.

Never do this: Never lie to a customer about who you are or who you represent. Never mention your own country. If asked where you are calling from, answer with the client's company and market, using the client's approved wording. Never pretend to be the business owner, a licensed professional, or a specific real person. Never create false urgency ("this offer ends today") unless it is true and approved.

2. Representing the client

  • On customer contact, you represent the client's business. Use the client's company name and your approved name.
  • Do not mention Narqix, other clients, your pay or the client's pricing to the client's customers unless the client has approved a disclosure script.
  • Follow the client's tone, sign-off and scripts exactly as written in the Client Playbook.
  • If asked a direct question you cannot answer honestly within the script, use the campaign's approved answer or say: "That is a great question. Let me have the right person get back to you on that."

3. Approved channels only

  • Talk to clients, customers, vendors and client staff only through the channels approved in the Client Playbook.
  • Never connect with a client's customer, vendor or staff member on personal social media or a personal messaging app.
  • Never give a customer your personal number, email or social profile.
  • Never take a client conversation "off the record" into a private channel.

4. Conflicts of interest and side work

  • Do not accept paid or unpaid side work from a Narqix client, a client's customer or a client's vendor. Send any such request to your Campaign Lead.
  • Do not work for a direct competitor of your client during your contract without Narqix's written approval.
  • Do not use client leads, lists, contacts or ideas for yourself or anyone else, during or after your time on the campaign.
  • Gifts: politely decline cash or anything of real value from clients or customers. Small tokens (a thank-you card) are fine; tell your lead.

5. Respect and a safe workplace

  • No harassment, bullying, discrimination or insults, in any language, on any channel, toward anyone. This includes jokes about religion, gender, ethnicity, nationality, disability or appearance.
  • Treat customers equally. In real estate, lending and housing work, US fair housing and fair lending laws forbid treating people differently based on race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, disability or family status. Never ask about these or let them influence your work.
  • Disagree with ideas, not people. Raise concerns privately with your lead, not in a group channel.
  • If you experience or see harassment, report it to your Campaign Lead or, if the concern involves your lead, to the Operations Manager. Reports are handled confidentially and nobody is punished for reporting honestly.

6. Social media and public talk

  • Do not post about clients, customers, deals, call recordings, screenshots or internal Narqix material anywhere public, including private groups and status updates.
  • You may say you work at Narqix. Do not name clients unless Narqix has made the relationship public.
  • Never post screenshots of the CRM, team channel or any client system, even with names hidden.

7. Professional presence

  • On video calls: camera on when asked, quiet background or blur, neat and plain clothing, no eating on camera.
  • In writing: complete sentences, the client's time zone, no slang. See Communication Standard.
  • On calls: calm, clear and polite, even when the other person is not.

Coach's note: Professionalism is most visible under pressure. Anyone can be polite to a friendly client. The Narqix standard is to stay just as calm and respectful when a customer is rude, a client is frustrated, or a teammate made a mistake that affected you.

  • Follow the laws that apply to your work, including US calling and texting rules (see Compliance Basics), data protection law in Bangladesh and the client's country, and any industry rules in your Client Playbook.
  • Never offer or accept a bribe or kickback.
  • Never help a client or customer do something you believe is illegal or deceptive. Stop and escalate.

What happens when the code is broken

TypeExamplesUsual response
MinorLate report, informal language with a client, small process slipCoaching from your Campaign Lead, noted in your record
SeriousRepeated minor issues, use of an unapproved channel, unapproved tracker editWritten warning and an improvement plan
CriticalDishonesty, data misuse, harassment, a compliance breach that harms a customer, side work with a clientRemoval from the campaign and possible end of employment

Every case is reviewed fairly. You will always hear what the concern is and have a chance to explain.

Check yourself

  1. A teammate asks you to mark their task done in the CRM because they "will finish it in a minute". What do you do?
  2. A customer asks for your personal messaging app number to "make it easier". What do you say?
  3. A client's vendor offers to pay you to send them leads. What do you do?
  4. Name two things you must never post on social media.
  5. You see a teammate being mocked in a group chat because of their accent. What do you do?
Answers
  1. Decline. Work is marked done only when it is done, by the person who did it.
  2. Politely decline and keep the conversation in the approved channel: "I keep everything in our official line so nothing gets missed."
  3. Refuse and report it to your Campaign Lead.
  4. Any two of: client names, customer details, call recordings, screenshots of systems, deals, internal Narqix material.
  5. Report it to your Campaign Lead (or the Operations Manager if the lead is involved). Do not join in.
