Your First Week
For new team members in their first five working days. After reading this page you will know exactly what to do each day, what to finish before going live, and what "a strong first week" looks like.
Track: All tracks · Role: Everyone · Time to complete: 10 min to read, one week to complete
How to use this checklist
Your first week is about three things: getting set up safely, learning the standards, and practising until the work feels natural. Tick each box as you finish it. Share your progress with your Campaign Lead or trainer at the end of each day.
Your days follow your scheduled shift for training, which your Campaign Lead will confirm. Use your campaign's check-in method from day one, exactly as you will when live.
Coach's note: Treat training week like a live week. Check in on time, post a short update at the end of each day, and keep your camera and headset ready. Your lead is already forming an opinion about your reliability, and the habits you build now are the ones you keep.

What a strong first week looks like
| Habit | Strong | Needs work |
|---|---|---|
| Punctuality | Checked in on time every day | Late without telling anyone |
| Reports | Start-of-day and end-of-day posted daily | Forgotten or posted late |
| Questions | Batched, clear, with what you already checked | Many single messages, or no questions at all |
| Practice | Scripts read aloud, notes written to format | Pages skimmed, no practice |
| Security | Setup done on day 1 | Still using saved browser passwords on day 3 |
Never do this: Never contact a client, a client's customer or any real lead before your Campaign Lead confirms you are cleared for live work. Training access is for training only.
After week 1
Most people spend the next one to three weeks in supervised live work. More of your work is checked, and customer-facing writing may need approval. That is normal and it ends as your QA scores prove consistency. Your first formal check-in is at 30 days, then 60 and 90. See Performance Reviews and Coaching.
