Strategic Funding Track
For every Narqix team member assigned to a business funding campaign. After this page you will understand how small business funding works in the US, where you fit in the process, and which pages to study first.
Track: Strategic Funding · Role: All funding roles · Time to complete: 15 min
Welcome to the funding desk
A US business owner needs money to buy inventory, cover payroll, fix a truck, buy a building or pay off expensive debt. Your job is to help that owner reach the right funding product, quickly, honestly and with a clean file.
You will not decide who gets funded. You will not set prices. What you do decides something just as important: whether a good business reaches a funder with a complete, accurate, well organised file, or gets lost in missed calls, missing pages and sloppy notes.
Most offshore funding teams in this industry are hired as cheap document chasers. Narqix people are trained to do more. We read a bank statement like an analyst, we spot problems before a funder does, and we protect the merchant and the client from compliance risk. That is the standard this track teaches.
The three rules that never bend
- You never quote a rate, a factor, a price, a payment, an amount, approval odds or a funding timeline. Offers come only from funders, and a closer or founder presents them.
- You never promise approval and never say "pre-approved" or "guaranteed".
- You never coach a merchant to leave out, change or hide anything. Not an advance, not a lien, not a bad month.
How business funding works, in simple words
Four parties appear in almost every deal.
| Party | Who they are | What they want |
|---|---|---|
| Merchant | The business owner who needs money. Called a merchant because many products are based on card and bank sales. | Money that fits the need, a payment the business can carry, and a fast, respectful process. |
| Broker or ISO | The middle party. ISO means independent sales organization. The broker finds merchants, qualifies them, builds the file and sends it to matching funders. The broker is usually paid by the funder when a deal funds. | Clean files, good matches, funded deals, repeat clients and no complaints. |
| Funder or lender | The company that provides the money. A lender makes a loan. A funder in a cash advance buys a share of future sales instead of lending. | Businesses that will repay, honest documents, and a file that is easy to review. |
| Underwriter | The person or system at the funder that reviews the file and decides yes, no or "yes, if". | Accurate statements, real revenue, clear debts and no surprises. |
The life of a deal
- Lead. A business owner fills out a form, answers an ad, calls in or is contacted with proper consent.
- Qualification. A Lead Qualifier asks a short set of questions to see which product fits.
- Application. The merchant signs the application, which includes their permission for the company to share the file with funders.
- Documents. The merchant sends bank statements, ID and other items. The Document Chaser makes sure every page arrives.
- Scrub. A Processor reviews the statements, calculates true revenue, finds existing advances and checks for problems.
- Submission. The file goes only to funders that match the merchant's profile, as approved by the desk lead.
- Underwriting. The funder reviews the file and may ask for more items, called stips (stipulations).
- Offer. If the funder says yes, it sends an offer. A closer or founder presents it. The funder delivers any required state disclosure.
- Contract and funding. The merchant signs with the funder and the money is sent.
- Renewal watch. The client is checked in on, and when they are eligible and it truly helps them, they may be offered additional funding.
Coach's note: think of yourself as the person who prepares the patient file before the doctor sees it. The doctor (the underwriter) decides. But a doctor with a complete, honest file makes a better decision faster. That is the value you add.
Narqix's role
Narqix runs funding operations in two ways, and you may work on either:
- The Narqix funding desk. Narqix offers 18 funding products under its own brand, matched across a large national network of capital sources. On this desk you speak as Narqix. You never name a back-end partner, funder or lender to a merchant unless a founder has approved it.
- Client campaigns. Narqix also builds and staffs the back office for US funding brokers. On a client campaign you represent the client's brand, shown in scripts as (COMPANY NAME), and you follow the client's approved scripts, consent rules and funder process.
In both cases the same Narqix standard applies: honest identity, compliant contact, clean files and zero pressure tactics.
The 18 products at a glance
| Business cash flow | Credit and debt | Real estate and big deals |
|---|---|---|
| Merchant Cash Advance | Term Loans | Fix and Flip |
| MCA Bailout | Lines of Credit | DSCR Loans |
| Working Capital Loan | 0% Business Credit Cards | Residential Mortgages |
| Revenue Based Financing | SBA 7(a) Loan | Commercial Real Estate |

When a merchant does not know what they need, the intake has a Not sure yet path. You ask about the need, time in business and revenue, and the team routes them to the right product. Full detail is in the Product Guide.
